Surgical scissors are divided into cutting seams or to cutting tissue (dissecting scissors) used.
Scissors for fabric are often a little finer and easier to hold (e.g. Metzenbaum).
Scissors for cutting seams, on the other hand, are somewhat coarser and heavier in the hand (e.g. mayo).
